Code Of Conduct Agreement
- I
agree to abide by the Code of Conduct as stated in the Scout Oath, Law,
Motto, Slogan, and Outdoor Code as written in my Scout handbook.
- I
understand that the following activities/behavior are unacceptable and
agree as a condition of participation in troop or Scouting activities to
not participate in them or promote them:
§
Hazing or
initiations of any kind or any unauthorized punishments, or physical abuse.
§
Any behavior which
is disruptive or disrespectful.
§
The purchase,
possession, or consumption or alcoholic beverage or illegal drugs.
§
Serious and/or
repetitive behavior violations involving the use of tobacco, cheating,
stealing, dishonesty, swearing, fighting, cursing, or language which is abusive
or hurtful to anyone.
§
Gambling in any
form.
§
Possession or
unauthorized use of firearms, weapons, or fireworks of any kind.
- I will
set a good example by keeping myself neatly dressed and presentable.
- I will
constructively participate as required in cooperation with other troop
members and leadership in whatever meetings, programs or activities I
attend. I will obey the safety
rules and instructions.
- In
consideration of other participants, I agree to follow bedtime and sleep
schedules of the troop during camping trips, unless otherwise directed.
- I will
be responsible for keeping my personal gear labeled, clean and neat. I
will always do my part to share in the prevention of littering of camp
grounds.
- I will
demonstrate respect for troop property and be personally responsible for
cleanliness and any loss, breakage, or vandalism of property.
- I
understand that if my conduct and participation does not reflect the Code
of Conduct, I agree to the following disciplinary action below at the
discretion of the Scoutmaster or other designated leader by the
Scoutmaster according to BSA policy:
§
I may be asked to
move my chair or myself to a place where I will be by myself, but still
participating in the activity.
§
I may be asked to
leave the ongoing activity to have a talk about my behavior with the
Scoutmaster or other Assistant Scoutmaster according to BSA policy.
§
I may be asked to
leave the Scout meeting or outing at the discretion and request of the
Scoutmaster or designated leader. I understand that if I am asked to leave, it
is the responsibility of my parents to pick me up immediately.
- I
understand that if I am asked to leave (2) two meetings or outings or a
combination of a meeting and outing, I will be asked to have a disciplinary
meeting with my parents, the Scoutmaster and Committee Chairperson, where
we will discuss what may be done to correct ongoing problems.
